VISION
MISSION

The Mission of the Computer Application Department is to produce graduates who excel in education and service. We also aim to instill in students the attitudes and values for the empowerment of women. We strive to motivate them towards the continuous process of learning and leadership and to train them in innovative skills and technology for the benefit of learners through incesant upgradation of curriculum on par with international standards.

           Department of Computer Application was established in the year 1995, with a view to pursue the excellence in the field of Computer Science. Department of Computer Application functions as one of the University Departmenst having Academic Autonomy of having its own syllabus and curriculum. The Department has a team of distinguished, dynamic, young and dedicated staff members with specialization in wider areas to provide superior teaching, guidance, inspiration and motivation that may spur students to challenge extraordinary frontiers.

 

LABORATORY

              The Department has well equipped laboratories and is interconnected through a well-designed seamless network with Internet facility with the speed of 16 Mbps with WI-FI Connectivity to facilitate the student’s access to websites. This helps the students in meeting the demands of the curriculum.

 

DEPARTMENT LIBRARY

           The BCA Department Library provides local & easy access to Reference Books, Journals, Project Reports and Internet Resources to the students, faculty and researchers.

OBJECTIVES

 

  • To promote technical competence, professional development and citizenship in the global community.

  • To gain the ability to model, analyze, design and to experimentally evaluate software components and to tailor the professional skills necessary to compete with the rapid technological change.

  • To have a Strong internship in IT.

  • To enable them to understand the social, ethical issues and motivate them to contribute to society in a positive and productive manner.

 

ACTIVITIES

  • Final year students are motivated to do real time projects

  • Students are encouraged to participate in the State, National and International Seminars and Workshops related to their studies.

  • Students are counselled through career guidance system for their financial and personal problems.

  • Our students are offered to do P.G, M.Phil and Research works in our University.

  • Final year students have attended campus interview and placed in various MNC'S.

  • Hardware and Networking and Software Development Programme conducted by Lexal Company, Palani.

  • Hardware and Software Trainig Programme was conducted by our Department.
